FANTASTIC NEWS FOR GLEADLESS VALLEY

Clients "Hard at Work" in our Online Centre

We are very proud to announce that Gleadless Valley Community Forum – Valley Education and Skills project has been awarded £372,893 by the BIG Lottery fund.

This means that we can continue helping clients to access training and basic skills courses including help for  unemployed people in our twice weekly Job Club  i.e. confidence building, CV writing and job searches. Job Club runs on Mondays 10 till 12 and Thursdays 1 till 3, but if you can’t make these times give us a call or drop in and we will discuss other arrangements.

Our Online drop-in Sessions will carry on, so that clients can come and use our computers to learn the basics and surf the internet, all FREE of charge, these sessions are held on Monday & Tuesday  12 till 3, and Wednesday & Thursday 9.30 till 12.30. feel free to drop in and see what’s on offer.

We will also still be able to offer accredited courses in subjects such as First Aid, Word Processing, Desk Top Publishing etc. as well as artisan courses, which are short courses in useful skills such as Breadmaking and Baking, Summer Salads and Sewing for Beginners.
